It is one of the items that will help your site stand out on search engines and possibly rank higher. I can not count how many times I see "Page Built With Adobe Go Live" or "insert page title here" in search engine results. It takes as long as 60 days to correct this on search engines. The title tag allows you to place a short description and/ or keywords and is very important. Take some time and browse around sites to see what I mean. Look at your site, and think about keywords used on the pages. Then take a few minutes, and test the words on a search engine. See which sites come up. Then rethink your tag. If its a personal site, do feel free to be creative and remember to keep it SHORT!
