People go to great extents to try and protect their web site content from theft and copyright violations. No matter what efforts you take, someone will always find a way to get that image. so what do you do?

An additional step you can take is to embed a copyright and creator information in your images. If you have PaintShopPro, it's just a few mouse clicks. Additional measures can include displaying only thumbnail images or text overlayed /watermarked images.

On the toolbar, click IMAGE, then scroll down to IMAGE INFORMATION.

image info 2

Click on the CREATOR INFORMATION tab, and fill it out. Image title, who made it. copyright date ~ the year made will usually suffice. Then add a description and click OKAY.

Then you can click the WATERMARK tab, and have the watermark added.

then ~ this is the important part.... you need to save the image as a GIF. PSP does not retain the creator info on JPG's.

This is just one way to try and protect your images. You can also offer text overlayed/ watermarked or thumbnail galleries.
